Periodisation

Periodisation is a structured approach to training that involves planned variations in training methods, volume, and intensity. Its goal is to optimise performance at a specific time. In the context of tennis, periodisation plays a crucial role in ensuring players reach their peak performance during major competitions and maximise development opportunities.

This process can be divided into several distinct phases, each with its own objectives and focus. These phases include the development phase, pre-competition phase, competition phase as well as an active rest phase.
